RPS Mafia Play

Free · Browser · 5–12 players · 13+

Play Mafia online, with your voice.

Voice is part of the game, not something you arrange yourself. No Discord call to set up, no app to install, no narrator to talk anyone through the night. Open a link and play.

Works on a phone or a computer. Nothing to buy, and nothing anyone can pay to win. You need to be 13 or over — the game asks once, and does not keep the answer.

Early access. The game is playable and real, but unfinished: things change, and a scheduled night does not always fill. Said here rather than left for you to discover.

The part everyone else leaves to you

Most online Mafia is a role dealer bolted onto a call you organise yourself. You get a room code and a voting screen, and you still have to run the voice, remember whose turn it is and hope nobody talks over the night.

Here the server runs the table. It deals the roles, narrates the night, decides who is allowed to speak and when, resolves every action and tells each player only what they are entitled to know. Nobody sits out to moderate, because there is nothing left to moderate.

No group? Join a game night.

The hardest part of Mafia has always been getting eight people free at the same time. Game nights solve it: reserve a seat at a scheduled table, turn up, and the server matches you into a full game with other people who did the same. There is one every three hours, around the clock.

Common questions

Is it free?

Yes. There is nothing to buy, and no advantage anyone can pay for.

Do I need to download anything?

No. It runs in the browser on a phone or a computer. There is no app to install and no extension to add.

Do I need Discord or Zoom?

No. Voice is part of the game. The server decides who can speak and when, which is something a separate call cannot do for you.

How many players do I need?

Between five and twelve. Eight is the size most groups settle on.

What if I do not have a group?

Join a game night. You reserve a slot, show up, and the server matches you into a full table of people in the same language.

How old do I need to be?

13 or over. The game asks for your date of birth the first time you open it, works out your age, and then discards the date — it is never stored and never leaves your device. The reason for the limit is that this is a live voice game played with people you have not met.

Is this finished?

No, and we would rather say so. It is in early access: the game is real and playable, but features change and a scheduled game night does not always fill, because some language pools are new and still filling up. Nothing is charged for, so nothing is being sold to you on a promise.

How long does a game take?

Usually somewhere between twenty and forty minutes, depending on the size of the table and how much the argument runs.
